This is where you will find updates on the progress to transition Aultbea Church of Scotland into Aultbea Community HUB.
The project team, spearheaded by Alan Jones Associate, is working diligently to secure full funding for the initial phase of the building renovations. The emphasis is on bolstering our green energy credentials by installing new heating systems and enhancing insulation. In addition, minor upgrades are planned to continue throughout 2025 to support our existing groups and improve event facilities.
Full planning permission has been granted for these developments, allowing us to move forward.
Our goal is to create a welcoming venue capable of hosting a variety of events, groups, and services. This strategy will enable the HUB to become part of a larger multi-facility network, working in conjunction with different groups to provide a wide-ranging and unified selection of community amenities.
Currently, the Community Hub acts as the gathering place for the local Men's Shed and the Post Office Sorting Office in the Aultbea area. It also continues to be a consecrated space for Christian worship, including church services, weddings, and funerals.
